Arbitration Costs

In both English court proceedings and arbitration it is usual for a successful party to be awarded his costs of those proceedings.

Successful Party will not get every penny back, but it is usual for him to obtain about 60% to 70% of his legal costs from the Losing Party. If a party is unsure about his case, fear of a costs liability is often an extra persuasion to settle the case. This is particularly so in arbitrations where the loser is usually required to pay the arbitrator’s costs.
