Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP)

Germany-based dry bulk shipowner Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement decided to withdraw its bulk carriers from commercial manager Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC). Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement is planning to use the in-house commercial management team. To safeguard both Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement’s and Hanseatic Unity Chartering’s interests, the decision was mutually agreed that Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement is going to withdraw from Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC). Previously, Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC) strengthened its handysize pool with Transworld bulk carriers. Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC) other shareholders are Asiatic & Atlantic Lloyd, Borealis Maritime, Leonhardt & Blumberg, and Reederei Nord. Currently, Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC) controls around 200 containerships and 13 dry bulk carriers. Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement was a co-founding partner in Hanseatic Unity Chartering’s predecessor O&S Chartering, which the company founded in 2013 in cooperation with Reederei Nord. In 2015, O&S Chartering was rebranded as Hanseatic Unity Chartering (HUC), when Borealis Maritime joined. In 2017, Asiatic & Atlantic Lloyd and Leonhardt & Blumberg joined and became Hanseatic Unity Chartering’s largest partners. 25-April-2021

 

Hamburg-based Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) took over the commercial management of Transworld Group’s dry bulk shipping arm Transworld Bulk Carriers (TBC) acquired 2011 built handysize bulk carrier 38K DWT MV TBC Passion (ex-Asahi Maru) and 2011 built handysize bulk carrier 38K DWT MV TBC Prime (ex-Turquoise Ocean). Döhle Group & Reederei Nord controlled Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) is strengthening its ties with Transworld Group’s dry bulk shipping arm Transworld Bulk Carriers (TBC). In 2019, Transworld Group’s dry bulk shipping arm Transworld Bulk Carriers (TBC) employed 2013 built handysize bulk carrier 32K DWT MV MV TBC Princess and 2014 built handysize bulk carrier 32K DWT MV TBC Prestige under Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) has offices in Hamburg and Singapore. MV TBC Passion (ex-Asahi Maru) and MV TBC Prime (ex-Turquoise Ocean) have joined the Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) at a time when handysize bulk carriers are fixed at the highest spot rates since 2010. In 2018, Germany based Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) was established by Peter Dohle Schiffahrts and Reederei Nord. Previously, a former pool partner, Deutsche Afrika-Linien (DAL) John T Essberger Group has no longer provides bulk carriers to Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Deutsche Afrika-Linien (DAL) John T Essberger Group exited the bulk carrier sector. Currently, Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) controlled 23 handysize bulk carriers. 11-March-2021

 

Germany based Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) has added two (2) handysize bulk carriers from Transworld Shipping Group. 2013 built handysize bulk carrier 32K DWT MV TBC Princess and 2014 built handysize bulk carrier 32K DWT MV TBC Prestige has joined to Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Currently, Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) has a fleet of 24 bulk carriers. However, Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) aims to increase the size of the pool. Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) was established by Peter Dohle Schiffahrts and Reederei Nord in 2018. In 2019, John T Essberger Group joined into the pool. Matthias Dassler managed Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) has offices in Hamburg and Singapore. 8-June-2020

 

Deutsche Afrika-Linien (DAL) John T Essberger Group (JTE) outsourced the commercial management of its three (3) dry bulk carriers to Hamburg-based Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Hamburg-based Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) is a chartering joint venture established in 2018 by German shipowners Reederei Nord and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts. Deutsche Afrika-Linien (DAL) John T Essberger Group (JTE) outsourced the commercial management of 2013 handysize bulk carrier 34K DWT MV Swakop, 2013 handysize bulk carrier 34K DWT MV Selinda, and 2013 handysize bulk carrier 34K DWT MV Zambesi to Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Currently, Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) controls 22 bulk carriers. 3-September-2019

 

German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts are teaming up on a new pool named Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP). Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) is going to focus on modern handysize dry bulk carriers. Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) will start with 18 ships. German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord will supply 11 ships and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts will supply 7 ships. German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts will run a new venture Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) from Singapore and Hamburg offices. Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) will invest and acquire more handysize dry bulk carriers. Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) will concentrate solely on eco-ships. Eco-shipowners expect earning premiums when new emission regulations begin in 2020. German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord will seek to borrow more than $100 million in the Oslo finance markets to increase its handysize tonnage. German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord will provide Emerald Mark I and Mark II type geared handysize dry bulk carriers and Peter Dohle Schiffahrts will provide Green Dolphin handysize dry bulk carriers. German shipowner and operator Reederei Nord is also a member of Hanseatic Unity Chartering which was set up in 2015 that bundles the commercial operations of 5  containership and dry bulk shipowners including Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, Asiatic/Atlantic Lloyd, Borealis Maritime and Leonhardt & Blumberg. Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool (HUHP) will be run by Sergey Simakin in Hamburg and Matthias Dassler in Singapore. 30-June-2018

 

Germany based Hanseatic Unity Chartering forming a new handysize bulker pool. Handysize bulker pool will begin with 10 dry bulk carriers around 37K DWT controlled by Reederei Nord. Additional dry bulk carriers could be contributed by Bernhard Schulte. Additionally, Hanseatic Unity Chartering has a third partner and support from UK-based Borealis Maritime which was chartering dry bulk carriers via sister company lvar Lundh & Co AB. Since 2013, Bernhard Schulte and Reederei Nord have been chartering dry bulk and container ships via sister company O&S Chartering. With the addition of Borealis Maritime ships, Hanseatic Unity Chartering would be much more powerful. CEO Kurt Klemme of Reederei Nord says “entrance of private-equity players into shipping require a commercial platform for operating ships and pool operations”. 3-June-2016
