Istanbul and Singapore-based Ince Shipping, known for its strategic acquisitions, has made its first purchase of 2024. This move aligns with the company’s ongoing search for modern bulk carriers. In April 2024, Ince Shipping was initially linked to the acquisition of a 2017-built Japanese ultramax bulk carrier, though that deal did not materialize. Continuing its search, Ince Shipping has now secured the purchase of another ultramax bulk carrier of the same age, the Imabari-built MV Florentine Oetker, for just under $33 million from AO Schifffahrt. Ince Shipping, which was established in 1967 in Istanbul as a family-owned and managed business, currently operates a fleet of 10 bulk carriers. This latest acquisition underscores the company’s commitment to expanding and modernizing its fleet to better serve global markets. 6-May-2024
