Iranian shipping industry and Donald Trump

Donald Trump is against the Iran nuclear pact negotiated with the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia and China. Donald Trum is calling it one of the worst deals he has ever seen. Donald Trump threatened to tear up the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) deal on his first day in office. It would come as a major setback for the Iranian shipping industry, which is only now regaining an international presence after years of isolation due to sanctions. Once again preclude foreign shipowners from calling at Iranian ports or loading Iranian cargoes if they wanted to continue trading to US ports. Nuclear agreement with Iran was signed not only by the US but also by the other nations and that by reneging on the deal, Donald Trump would severely risk relations with these countries. Major blow to the ambitious fleet replacement programmes that are being planned by Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and National Iranian Tanker Co (NITC).
