Athens-based shipowner and operator Load Line Marine SA, led by George Souravlas, has announced the acquisition of a handysize bulk carrier. Load Line Marine SA purchased the 2012-built handysize bulk carrier 33K DWT MV Aquila Trader (formerly MV DL Jasmine) from Busan-based Dong-A Tanker Corporation. This addition to the Greek shipowner and operator’s fleet was facilitated by a transaction that Sale and Purchase (S&P) shipbrokers value at approximately $12.5 million. The move expands Load Line Marine SA’s operational capabilities and strengthens its position in maritime transport. Greek shipowner and operator Load Line Marine SA acquired 2011 built supramax bulk carrier 57K DWT MV Conti Lapislazuli from German ship operator The Conti Group for around $9.5 million. Greek shipowner and operator Load Line Marine continues to expand its fleet. 57K DWT MV Conti Lapislazuli is not due for the special survey (SS) until October 2021. Currently, MV Conti Lapislazuli is worth around $12 million. Currently, Greek George Souravlas-led Load Line Marine has a fleet of nine (9) dry bulk carriers. Greek shipowner and operator Load Line Marine also conducting successful asset plays. In April 2018, Load Line Marine sold 2001 built supramax dry bulk carrier 52K DWT MV Challenger to Sentra Makmur Lines for about $8.8 million. Load Line Marine bought 2001 built handymax bulk carrier 48K MV Fighter (ex MV New Glory) from Greek shipowner Transmar Shipping. Load Line Marine also bought 2001 built supramax 52K MV Challenger (ex MV New Spirit). Load Line Marine’s fleet contains handysize and supramax bulk carriers built between 2001 and 2013.
