Neptune Dry

Greek Neptune Lines’ bulk carrier arm Neptune Dry acquired 2016 built ultramax bulk carrier 61K DWT MV ND ARISTEIA (ex MV Loch Nevis) for around $24.5 million. MV ND ARISTEIA (ex MV Loch Nevis) was built Shin Kurushima Shipyard, Japan in 2016. Melina Travlos led Neptune Dry made first foray into the ultramax segment to bring the size of Neptune Dry dry bulk fleet to four (4) bulk carriers:

  • MV ND ARMONIA (56K DWT – 2011 built)
  • MV ND THELXIS (58K DWT – 2012 built)
  • MV ND PISTIS (57K DWT – 2015 built)
  • MV ND ARISTEIA (61K DWT – 2016 built)

MV ND ARISTEIA (ex MV Loch Nevis) was listed under the ownership of Japanese shipowner KN Maritime. After selling MV ND ARISTEIA (ex MV Loch Nevis), Japanese shipowner KN Maritime dry bulk fleet decreased to three (3) bulk carriers:

  • MV LOCH MELFORT (2013 built)
  • MV LOCH MAREE (2013 built)
  • MV LOCH NESS (2016 built)

MV ND ARISTEIA (ex MV Loch Nevis) is Piraeus based Neptune Dry Management’s first acquisition in more than a year. Neptune Lines’ bulk carrier arm Neptune Dry was set up in September 2017. Right after its establishment in September 2017., Neptune Dry bought three (3) modern supramax bulk carriers in quick succession. Greek shipowner and operator Melina Travlos is mostly known for car carrier venture Neptune Lines. Piraeus based Neptune Lines operates 16 pure car and truck carriers (PCTC).
